📋 Description

• Design, develop, implement, support, and optimize architecture strategies aligned with business capabilities and stakeholder needs • Ensure architecture completeness, integrity, practicality, and fitness for purpose • Leverage business and technology knowledge to enable or alter business processes, practices, and systems • Provide strategic consultation on business processes, enterprise solutions, technologies, and capability requirements • Participate in enterprise strategy development, environmental analysis, opportunity identification, value cases, and business innovation portfolio development • Specify and design large or complex systems, solutions, and processes • Select design standards, methods, tools, and architecture components; review system designs for technology appropriateness, resource efficiency, and integration • Evaluate major design options and balance functional, service quality, and systems management requirements • Develop architectures, component requirements, specifications, and implementation solutions • Advise on technical aspects of system development, integration, and processes • Establish and communicate system user requirements, characteristics, and tasks • Lead improvement programs and ensure measurable business benefits • Oversee enterprise change management processes and provide recommendations on affected-team impact • Resolve complex architecture and business problems and lead highly complex business initiatives • Maintain expert knowledge of applications and technical environments • Provide leadership, mentoring, technical expertise, and training to peers, developers, management, and business partners • Establish criteria to evaluate complex decisions and improve system design or performance • Manage challenging relationships with vendors, peers, and team members • Reinforce IT principles, policies, procedures, and standards • Travel to WVUHS facilities or affiliated sites as needed for implementations, training, and support • Accept on-call responsibilities and respond by phone or on-site according to department policy

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, computer science, business, informatics, or related field and eight years’ experience performing system analysis with business, clinical, or administrative applications; OR high school diploma or equivalent and twelve years’ experience in the same area • Additional certification may be required and will be provided by WVUHS Information Technology; completion required within four months of formal certification training • 5 to 7 years of Workday experience • Experience in a healthcare system or environment preferred • Experience with data integration, application roadmaps, and/or technical and workflow architecture preferred • Intuitive, holistic understanding of highly complex system designs, environmental strategy, and performance in unstable, dynamic, or crisis situations • Ability to provide expert technical advice and lead complex business initiatives • Ability to provide leadership and mentoring to peers, developers, management, and business partners • Ability to manage challenging relationships with vendors, professional peers, and team members • Ability to accept on-call responsibilities and respond by phone or on-site according to department policy • Ability to adhere to WVUHS and assigned-entity policies, procedures, and standards
