📋 Description

• Develop and guide implementation of materials strategies for the assigned global business unit • Provide leadership and strategic direction to factory workcells where the business unit manufactures • Staff and manage the global materials team • Identify development needs, create or validate training curricula, and coach and mentor team members • Establish performance goals, provide feedback, conduct evaluations, and drive continuous improvement • Analyze customer needs and align materials strategies with Jabil’s organizational goals • Educate factory workcells and champion materials strategy implementation • Identify cost-reduction opportunities and develop cost-analysis tools • Participate in monthly forecast cycles • Deploy planning and inventory strategies and systems • Manage customer demand, master production schedules, product launches, and site-transfer plans • Ensure product and finished-goods supply continuity during transfers • Manage residual and excess/obsolete inventory • Generate and analyze inventory reports • Manage materials quotation cycles and assist with RFQs • Qualify alternate and localized suppliers • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, inventory programs, cancellation terms, return privileges, and demand communications • Recommend component-level customer BOM pricing and obtain commodity and sourcing control • Represent Jabil’s materials team in customer meetings, audits, presentations, and conference calls • Resolve and escalate customer issues while prioritizing customer expectations

🎯 Requirements

• HS Diploma and at least 8 years of related experience in electronics manufacturing and materials management required • Experience in negotiation, cost reduction activities, and materials planning • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Materials Logistics Management, or related discipline preferred • Domestic and international travel required • Adherence to safety and health rules and regulations • Compliance with company security policy and procedures
