📋 Description

• Manage gilt availability and transport schedules • Manage gilt weights at entry into sow farms • Manage barn sizes and locations to align with pig flow projections • Project movements by weight and days of age • Direct biosecurity and facility oversight on gilt grow-outs • Oversee gilt selection training and criteria • Manage pig flow projections from sow farms to determine space needs and timing • Work with the veterinary team to monitor health and vaccination requirements across geographies and flows • Manage and communicate sudden changes related to pig flow and animal marketing • Provide technical direction, education, and training related to pig flow and marketing of pigs • Identify and lead process-improvement opportunities related to pig flow and animal marketing • Approve producer/grower payments • Perform additional duties assigned by the manager • Supervise 4–5 direct reports

🎯 Requirements

• BS/BA Animal Science or equivalent degree, or 5 years’ equivalent experience in swine production • Computer knowledge in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook • Problem solving techniques • Knowledge of overall business strategy and operations • Proficiency in spreadsheet, database, and word processing software • Written and verbal communication skills • Exceptional organizational and communication skills • Valid driver’s license • Ability to bend, push, pull, twist, and lift approximately 60+ lbs • Centrally reside in the service area of Arkansas, Missouri, and Iowa • Ability to complete post-offer drug, alcohol, and background checks • Employment eligibility verification required under the Immigration Reform and Control Act
