• Support recruitment of approximately 30 partner high schools across Washington State • Develop and execute outreach strategies to identify, engage, and onboard new partner schools and districts • Build relationships with school contacts and district leaders • Assist schools in developing and executing strategic plans for mental health promotion, suicide prevention, and substance use prevention • Provide ongoing technical assistance, guidance, and resource consultation to JED schools and school systems • Conduct programmatic reviews of school systems and analyze student data • Draft feedback reports and executive summaries for school stakeholders • Benchmark school efforts against a measurement rubric and assist with ongoing assessment • Use Salesforce to record school contacts, interventions, resource utilization, and progress • Monitor engagement lifecycles, project timelines, milestones, and implementation goals • Serve as a content expert on PK-12 school mental health and suicide prevention best practices • Support content development, convenings, learning series, training, workshops, and educational programming • Collaborate with JED leadership and teams on consulting projects, analyses, reports, materials, and other mental health initiatives • Report to a Senior Consultant and work collaboratively with the JED team
• Minimum of master’s level training in education, educational leadership, counseling, psychology, social work, or related field required • At least 5–7 years professional experience working within, or in direct partnership with PK-12 schools and school districts • Strong technical knowledge of school-based mental health, Social Emotional Learning, suicide prevention, and substance use prevention • Deep knowledge of PK-12 school systems and systems-level change, including data, daily operations, and the current educational landscape • Strong research, analytical, and critical thinking abilities • Experience leading, building, and managing secondary education programs and collaborating with education leaders • Excellent verbal communication • Excellent written communication and report-style drafting experience • Excellent presentation skills and comfort presenting to large groups, including senior leadership • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills • Experience with establishing new partnerships and identifying new business opportunities • Experience working with Asana, Salesforce, or other CRM and project management systems strongly preferred • Ability to travel across Washington State and to JED headquarters in NYC regularly, up to 30% travel
