JHU EEHPC is the Energy Efficient High Performance Computing Lab at Johns Hopkins University, led by Tinoosh Mohsenin. The lab focuses on designing medical, health, and wearable devices and developing tiny, energy-efficient wearable and mobile computing systems through cross-layer approaches spanning algorithms, architecture, hardware, and system integration. It applies high-performance computing and artificial intelligence methods to smart health monitoring, robotics, autonomous navigation, and related domains, aiming to revolutionize healthcare, transportation, and public utilities.

📋 Description

• Provide students with additional academic support • Assist students in understanding course content through teaching and tutoring strategies • Grade homework, quizzes, and exams in the online course section • Monitor online discussion boards and communicate with students • Assist during synchronous discussions • Prepare the course site before the course begins • Configure assignment descriptions, deadlines, grade book calculations, discussion forums, student resources, practice exams, and mid-term evaluations • Create a teaching module for future online teaching assistants, including preparation documents, troubleshooting tips, and professor collaboration guidance • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED • Additional education may substitute for required experience under the JHU equivalency formula • Bachelor’s Degree preferred • Completed Master’s Degree in a related field strongly preferred • Prior teaching experience in the relevant course content area preferred • Awareness of differentiated instruction • Awareness of educational assessment • Awareness of educational technologies • Awareness of oral and written communication • Awareness of organizational skills • Awareness of student learning outcomes • Successful candidates are subject to a pre-employment background check • Faculty, staff, and students are required to receive the seasonal flu vaccine, subject to religious or medical exceptions
