• Deliver professional development for teachers and leaders in online and in-person environments • Develop, edit, and pilot curricular materials for educators and students • Produce and deliver customized training events for partner districts • Develop educational content, including model activities, lessons, and units • Model teaching strategies and content-driven activities for NMSI stakeholders • Share feedback and insights from training to inform future programming • Serve as an ambassador for NMSI and its mission and values to schools, teachers, and students • Promote NMSI in professional networks and support coach recruitment as needed • Perform other duties as assigned • Report to a Manager, Program Design & Innovation
• At least three years of teaching experience within a specific K–12 content area or grade band • Deep knowledge of content, pedagogy, and instructional practices • Strong familiarity with state and national teaching standards related to college readiness, including AP assessment standards, Common Core State Standards, and NGSS • Demonstrated understanding of effective teaching and school leadership • Commitment to rigorous, high-quality instruction • Ability to facilitate learning experiences in an online learning management system such as Maple, Canvas, or Google Classroom • Ability to navigate and create course content within an LMS • Ability to design engaging learning experiences using content authoring tools such as Articulate • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to provide clear, direct, and constructive feedback • Comfortable working in an evolving environment with competing priorities • Willingness to learn from challenges and give and receive feedback • Commitment to ongoing professional development in adult learning and facilitation • Ability to facilitate up to 100+ hours of teacher- or leader-facing events throughout the program year • Availability and flexibility to support school-day events as needed is a plus • Four-year degree • Candidates must pass county, state, and federal-level criminal background checks as a condition of employment • Preferred: STEM-focused learning experience, work in high-need schools or with high-need populations, record of improving student achievement, AP Reader experience, and experience coaching teachers and facilitating professional development
