JHU EEHPC is the Energy Efficient High Performance Computing Lab at Johns Hopkins University, led by Tinoosh Mohsenin. The lab focuses on designing medical, health, and wearable devices and developing tiny, energy-efficient wearable and mobile computing systems through cross-layer approaches spanning algorithms, architecture, hardware, and system integration. It applies high-performance computing and artificial intelligence methods to smart health monitoring, robotics, autonomous navigation, and related domains, aiming to revolutionize healthcare, transportation, and public utilities.

📋 Description

• Assist in grading homework, quizzes, and exams in the online course section • Monitor online discussion boards and communicate with students about the online course • Assist during synchronous discussions • Prepare the course site before the course begins • Configure assignment descriptions and deadlines, grade book calculations, discussion forums, student resources, practice exams, and mid-term course evaluations • Develop a teaching module for future online teaching assistants, including preparation documents, troubleshooting tips, and guidance on working with a professor • Perform other duties as assigned • Provide students with additional academic support using teaching and tutoring strategies • Provide extra assistance to individual students as needed

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or graduation equivalent • Additional education may substitute for required experience under the JHU equivalency formula • Master’s Degree in Education or a related field preferred • Awareness of differentiated instruction • Awareness of educational assessment • Awareness of educational technologies • Awareness of oral and written communication • Awareness of organizational skills • Awareness of student learning outcomes • Successful candidates must complete a pre-employment background check • Faculty, staff, and students must receive the seasonal flu vaccine, subject to religious or medical exceptions
