📋 Description

• Lead and execute comprehensive commissioning activities across design, pre-construction, construction, and post-construction phases • Demonstrate commissioning processes and deliverables per ASHRAE, CSA, and LEED requirements • Develop Commissioning Plans and Specifications • Implement electrical and EPMS QA/QC inspection programs for complex facility projects • Conduct site visits, startup witnessing, functional testing, and integrated systems testing • Use calibrated testing equipment including flow hoods, anemometers, pitot tubes, IR cameras, and Power Quality Meters • Develop startup and test forms, functional test scripts, and integrated systems test scripts • Manage execution and witnessing activities • Prepare, review, and issue commissioning deliverables • Develop inspection checklists, test scripts, procedures, and project-specific documentation • Write Standard Operating Procedures and Methods of Procedures • Compile site-specific Systems Manuals and maintain Issues Logs • Work with General Contractors, MEP trades, inspectors, authorities having jurisdiction, consultants, and contractors • Chair commissioning meetings and coordinate cross-functional teams • Schedule and coordinate JLL and project team members while ensuring contractor compliance • Protect JLL's contractual position and ensure work meets contracted requirements • Review commissioning design drawings, specifications, and submittals • Manage fee allocation, time, productivity, conflict resolution, and quality standards • Deliver project status reports and analyze contractor schedule updates • Travel up to 50% across USA client sites, mostly the Eastern Seaboard and Southeastern US

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent (Engineering degree preferred) • Minimum 10 years of relevant MEP engineering and/or field-testing experience • Minimum 5 years providing building commissioning and/or construction QA/QC field services • Expert knowledge of commissioning processes per ASHRAE, CSA, and LEED standards • Working knowledge of MEP equipment/systems installation, startup, pre-functional testing, inspections, and acceptance testing • Proficiency using electrical testing meters and equipment including Power Quality Meters, thermography, NETA tests, ground tests, hi-pot, megger • Knowledge and experience testing utility transformers, UPS systems, generators, automated paralleling switchgear, ATSs, STSs, fuel oil systems, PDUs, EPMS, and electrical power generation/distribution systems • Proficiency with calibrated testing equipment including flow hoods, anemometers, pitot tubes, IR cameras, and various meters • Proficiency in BIM360, CxAlloy, Facility Grid, MS Project, Word, and Excel • Strong data management skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to coordinate multiple project schedules and deliver status reports • Ability to analyze and report on contractor and third-party schedule updates • Strong fee, time, productivity, conflict, and quality management capabilities • Ability to develop, review, and evaluate training programs for installed equipment and systems • CEM, CBCP, CPMP, and/or LEED designation preferred • Professional Engineer (PE) or PMP certification preferred • Experience in consultancy or owner organization preferred • Background as a Facility Manager preferred • Experience as an operating engineer in data centers or mission-critical facilities preferred • International project experience preferred • Work fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese • Willingness and ability to travel internationally when needed • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
