📋 Description

• Assist management with approval of collection department adjustments • Meet with payer representatives and vendors to address outstanding issues • Assist with documentation procedures, records requirements, reporting compliance, and accrediting-body standards • Provide training and orientation to new employees • Review high-balance accounts for timely billing, follow-up, and accurate cash posting • Review problematic accounts and determine resolutions for zero-balance outcomes • Run and record daily and monthly individual collector productivity reports • Document account activity in a timely manner • Ensure compliance with state and federal billing regulations • Review daily system work lists, reports, and/or ATB to resolve accounts unpaid within 30 days of claim submission • Identify and document denial trends, provide supporting data, and suggest process improvements

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED • 2 years of Patient Accounting experience • 1 year of hospital leadership experience preferred • Ability to ensure compliant, professional, timely, and accurate collection activities • Knowledge of collection policies and procedures • Knowledge of state and federal billing regulations • Ability to review accounts, reports, work lists, and ATB • Ability to identify and document denial trends and recommend process improvements • Travel is never or rarely required
