📋 Description

• Administer ionizing radiation for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes • Perform a full scope of radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures • Acquire and analyze data for diagnosis at the request of and for interpretation by a licensed practitioner • Independently perform or assist licensed practitioners with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures • Prepare, administer, and document medications and radiation exposure • Ensure correct orders, patient identification, exam preparation, corroborated clinical history, and appropriate documentation • Utilize imaging protocols and optimize technical factors while maximizing patient safety and applying ALARA principles • Evaluate images for positioning and technical quality • Verify archival storage or transfer of data and perform post-processing when applicable • Educate and monitor students and other healthcare providers • Assist licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic and specialized radiologic procedures • Perform diagnostic radiographic and noninterpretive fluoroscopic procedures in radiology and other clinical areas

🎯 Requirements

• Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Radiologic Technology (Required) • Bachelor's Degree-Related Field of Study (Preferred) • Basic Life Support Certification • Radiography (R) certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) • New graduates must obtain ARRT-R registry within 6 months of the date of hire • Applicants hired after March 10, 2024, must complete steps required for advancing to level 2 within 24 months • Minimum of 1 year related work experience (Preferred) • Ability to perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures • Knowledge of medication administration and radiation exposure documentation in accordance with federal and state laws, regulations, or lawful institutional policy • Ability to work nights • Scheduled for 40 hours per week
