📋 Description

• Identify opportunities for improvement and support clinical excellence across Geisinger • Evaluate the quality of healthcare services ordered or performed by Geisinger healthcare providers • Conduct medical audits, ambulatory care reviews, and compliance evaluations • Evaluate healthcare quality requested by external agencies • Perform medical record audits • Collect, organize, and analyze data and provide findings to the appropriate parties • Conduct ongoing, focused open and closed, and electronic health record medical record review audits • Enter data into databases, audit databases, and generate database reports • Perform internal studies and projects within established time frames • Comply with regulations and recommendations of external regulatory bodies pertaining to Performance Improvement • Interact with physicians, provide information, suggest alternatives, and assist with data integrity • Participate in patient safety improvement and management programs • Identify processes or systems that could potentially lead to errors and adverse events • Follow organizational and departmental policies and procedures • Report serious events and incidents promptly in accordance with hospital policy and procedure

🎯 Requirements

• At least three (3) years of LPN work experience required • Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Nursing required • Licensed Practical Nurse certification/license required • Familiarity with CMS, Joint Commission, and other quality reporting programs and performance measures • Experience with Core Measure and Get with the Guidelines® Stroke abstraction highly preferred • Communication skills • Critical thinking skills • Teamwork skills • Ability to work a full-time, 40-hours-weekly schedule, Monday through Friday, days
