📋 Description

• Develop and implement a scientific engagement plan for the territory aligned with Medical Affairs strategy and medical objectives • Cultivate professional relationships with community and academic opinion leaders/KOLs • Conduct high-quality, two-way scientific exchange with healthcare professionals • Collect, synthesize, and apply clinical, scientific, competitive, and territory-level information • Leverage AI tools and insights to improve decision-making, processes, efficiency, and outcomes • Monitor competitors and incorporate evidence-based clinical context into scientific engagement planning • Deliver relevant scientific data through dialogue and presentations that translate complex clinical evidence • Identify challenges and unmet needs and propose evidence-based solutions or educational initiatives • Submit actionable insights to inform medical strategy and cross-functional discussions • Respond to unsolicited inquiries about Johnson & Johnson products and research • Support investigators and internal partners for company-sponsored and investigator-initiated studies • Collaborate with Medical Affairs, R&D, Clinical Operations, Sales, Marketing, and other internal stakeholders • Maintain scientific acumen through self-reading, journal clubs, seminars, congresses, and peer discussions • Foster inclusion and belonging internally and externally • Maintain knowledge of regulatory, healthcare compliance, ethical conduct, and Medical Affairs requirements • Develop and implement a performance and development plan with the Field Director • Complete administrative documentation and expense reporting accurately and compliantly

🎯 Requirements

• Doctorate-level degree or equivalent experience required, including PharmD, PhD, MD, or Advanced Practice Provider qualification • Postgraduate experience required for doctoral-level candidates • In-depth scientific and/or therapeutic knowledge • Research and/or healthcare system knowledge • Proficiency in data gathering and analysis, clinical expertise, problem solving, interpersonal influence, cross-functional collaboration, strategic thinking, and competitive landscape analysis • Ability to support a specific territory with up to 70% travel • Must hold a valid US Driver’s License • 2+ years of relevant experience preferred, preferably in an MSL role • 2+ years of therapeutic-area experience preferred • Residency/fellowship preferred • Board certification for clinical degrees preferred • Demonstrated commitment to learning and applying emerging technologies such as AI
