• Drive strategic business and local advocacy initiatives to ensure patient access to Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine products • Build and lead relationships with physician and patient organizations, employer coalitions, and key advocacy leaders • Partner with Commercial, Brands, National Advocacy, Federal Affairs, State Affairs, and Policy teams on market-shaping and legislative priorities • Execute advocacy initiatives elevating disease awareness and site of care, supporting launch readiness, enhancing clinical trial awareness and enrollment, and enabling appropriate patient access • Develop and deliver advocacy partnerships across oncology, immunology, neuroscience, and the life sciences sector • Shape payer and legislative policies, strengthen care pathways, and enable patient access • Build, deepen, and grow relationships with advocacy leaders, physician societies, patient organizations, and employer coalitions • Provide payer, federal, and state policy education to advocacy stakeholders • Coordinate internal partners and teams to advance advocacy efforts affecting access-to-care markets and regulatory, legislative, and payer policies • Evaluate and manage sponsorship opportunities within budget • Serve as the primary point of contact for advocacy organizations and coordinate with internal teams • Monitor Medicare Administrative Contractor activities and partner with internal teams on coding, reimbursement, and access
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s/MBA preferred • Minimum 5 years of experience in health policy, advocacy, payer relations, pharm/bio sales or marketing, or related healthcare policy required • Strong understanding of complex healthcare markets, including biologics, oncology, and immunology • Understanding of the changing healthcare environment at the local and national level • Excellent communication, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration skills • Ability to manage territory budget • Travel up to 60%, including evenings/weekends, required • Valid U.S. driver’s license required • Experience with local public affairs campaigns focused on legislative or policy issues preferred • Knowledge of government policy development and healthcare policy trends preferred • Experience with grassroots lobbying and mobilization efforts preferred • Experience working with complex markets such as biologic, injectable, infusible, and oral products in Oncology, Immunology, and/or Neuroscience preferred • Expertise in government policy development process preferred • Understanding of policy and payment models and their impact on treatment settings preferred • Prior people management experience preferred • Demonstrated commitment to learning emerging technologies, such as AI, through exploration, iteration, and applying new tools over time
