📋 Description

• Evaluate the impact of disasters such as floods, fires, or storms on structures and environments • Assess risks, vulnerabilities, and potential damage to determine preventive measures • Minimize damage during emergencies by deploying resources, coordinating evacuation procedures, and safeguarding critical infrastructure • Oversee day-to-day operations at project sites • Ensure project progress, deadlines, and quality standards • Allocate labor, materials, and equipment efficiently • Coordinate teams, manage schedules, and troubleshoot project issues • Interface with clients and project representatives, including adjusters, brokers, and insureds • Schedule and perform field inspections and site visits to evaluate work scope and damage • Estimate medium to large commercial and residential projects using Xactimate • Document, review, and analyze schedules, contracts, change orders, correspondence, reports, meeting minutes, and other project/file documents • Provide technical direction to other consultants and support their files • Collaborate with Business Development Managers to develop new business and strengthen existing client relationships

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 8-10+ years of estimating experience • Work experience in the restoration, insurance, and remediation field, including estimating large commercial complex losses • Bachelor’s or associate degree from an accredited college or university; or 5-10 years of demonstrable experience and accomplishments in the restoration industry in lieu of a degree • Relevant restoration and/or restoration contracting experience specializing in working with insurance companies, including scheduling, project management, and estimating • Proficiency with Xactimate, Symbility, RS Means, or other estimating software • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to produce high-quality expert reports • Valid driver’s license and good driving record • Strong project management, analysis, and critical thinking skills • Ability to meet deadlines while being detail oriented • Strong independent work ethic and leadership skills • Exceptional customer service skills • Ability to wear personal protective equipment as required by the work site • Physical ability to conduct inspections and carry inspection equipment • Ability to climb ladders to reach high areas or roofs • Ability to write reports of findings, comprising 50% of day-to-day duties • Must be able to be on call or work weekends or nights • Willingness to travel locally, regionally, and for CAT response when needed
