📋 Description

• Configure and support Inpatient Order Entry, Provider Documentation, and Infection Control applications within the Epic EHR • Serve as liaison between end users, operational leaders, support resources, and vendors • Design, build, optimize, and provide application support for assigned Epic applications • Analyze business issues, requirements, and workflows and apply application knowledge to meet operational and organizational needs • Collaborate with customers on analysis, testing, documentation, and implementation of medium- to high-complexity activities • Act as the primary support contact for application end users • Identify and resolve issues affecting the application area and other application teams • Guide workflow design, system building, and testing; analyze technical Epic issues • Identify and implement requested system changes • Liaise between end-user workflow needs and Epic implementation staff • Maintain regular communication with Epic representatives and participate in weekly project team meetings • Work with Epic representatives, the business community, and end users to meet business needs, project deliverables, and timelines • Develop understanding of operational needs through site visits and integrated sessions • Participate in training and work with end users • Troubleshoot problems and questions • Review project and issue status with leadership • Hold weekly communications with team members regarding deliverables, shared issues, end-user concerns, budget, and milestones • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in clinical, Informatics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Computer Systems, or equivalent experience in healthcare or IT related field • Epic Certified in respective application upon hire or obtain within 9 months of employment • Proficient in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint • Preferred but not required RN degree • Prior analyst experience working with inpatient order entry, documentation and/or infection control systems • Work history/knowledge of inpatient clinical operations and workflows, including order entry and provider documentation • Strong understanding of physician orders and downstream integrated workflows initiated from orders • Prior experience with EpicCare Order Entry, Provider Documentation & Bugsy is a plus • Familiarity with infection control regulatory reporting requirements (state and NHSN) • Familiarity with hospital infection control workflows and policies • Familiarity with antimicrobial stewardship program and pharmacy clinical monitoring programs • Familiarity with NHSN Antimicrobial Usage and Resistance module (AUR) regulatory reporting requirements • Familiarity with how antimicrobials are ordered and dispensed • Familiarity with relevant lab results for specific medications • Must be able to sit for long periods and use computers and telecommunication devices • Must be able to work in a stressful environment, work independently, think critically, make sound decisions, remain detail-oriented and alert, and be self-motivated • Maintenance of required professional licensing and/or certifications
