📋 Description

• Utilize automated scanners and internal risk processes to identify security defects • Update outdated libraries, rewrite legacy components, and resolve technical debt • Modernize the codebase by removing vulnerabilities from deprecated packages and dependencies • Collaborate with engineering pods to review security posture and execute defect remediation • Troubleshoot issues and clear remediation blockers for engineering teams • Draft security playbooks, coding standards guidelines, and remediation documentation • Create a knowledge base for secure coding practices and defect fixing • Integrate automated security scanning and guardrails into the software development lifecycle • Implement a continuous shift-left security model • Maintain cloud infrastructure protections including firewalls, intrusion detection, and encryption • Partition and safeguard core infrastructure assets • Manage and execute incident response lifecycles • Build automated logic to detect, flag, and contain system anomalies • Deliver rapid technical resolution during security incidents

🎯 Requirements

• 5–8+ years of experience in an Application Security or Security Engineering role • Ability to read code, identify architectural flaws, and write fixes or scripts • Proven experience managing technical debt and legacy code paths • Experience safely updating third-party libraries and dependencies without breaking production features • Excellent written skills for creating security playbooks • Experience collaborating with developers and pairing to debug technical issues • Familiarity with cloud-native architectures • Familiarity with containerized applications • Familiarity with CI/CD integrations • Experience configuring automated security testing systems including SAST, DAST, and SCA • Strong builder mindset and proactive problem-solving approach • Exposure to application security fundamentals, specifically OWASP, required or preferred • Experience with network configuration and application deployment preferred
