📋 Description

• Serve the Eugene area as a Mobile Phlebotomist • Properly collect, label, store, and transport blood, urine, stool, and other samples to the laboratory • Identify patients using at least two unique identifiers in accordance with CLIA guidelines • Verify that test requisitions are properly completed • Obtain whole blood, serum, and plasma samples through venipuncture and/or fingerstick • Label primary, pour-off, and daughter tubes with two unique identifiers • Maintain documentation and identification of samples during transport • Perform blood culture collection without contaminating the site or sample • Perform timed, fasting, and random collections • Explain proper collection procedures for urine, stool, sputum, and culture swabs • Follow client-facility safety protocols, including PPE, isolation protocols, and hand washing • Follow Universal Precautions and OSHA Standards when handling biological specimens • Adhere to HIPAA Regulations • Maintain daily tallies of collections • Inform the Phlebotomy Supervisor of significant changes in collection volumes • Request office and phlebotomy supplies as needed • Exhibit and promote the professional image of Kashi Clinical Laboratories

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent • Phlebotomy Certificate (proof of certification required upon hire) • Computer and technology proficient • Must maintain a current driver’s license and clean driving record • Reliable transportation required • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 20 pounds • Ability to speak and hear frequently • Ability to sit or stand for periods of time and bend, stretch, and stoop • Ability to use close vision and computer vision • Hand dexterity for standard office, phlebotomy, and clinical equipment • Variable schedule including evenings, holidays, and/or extended hours • Ability to work with exposure to blood and bodily fluids, communicable diseases, chemicals, radiation, and repetitive motions
