📋 Description

• Oversee the administrative and financial lifecycle of institutional, federal, state, and private grant awards • Maintain compliance, develop project budgets, manage reporting timelines, and facilitate collaboration among clients, finance teams, and external funding sources • Provide post-award grants management services, compliance support, contract preparation, billing, reimbursement requests, and reporting • Manage assigned grants and apply established policies and procedures • Prepare reports and documentation and provide guidance to program staff • Assist with audits, monitoring, special projects, and day-to-day grant administration • Serve as primary day-to-day contact for assigned clients regarding routine grants management matters • Respond to client questions and escalate complex compliance or financial issues to the SGMS • Support administration of federal, state, local, and private foundation grants throughout the grant lifecycle • Assist with award setup, implementation, monitoring, grant closeout, agreement reviews, requirement summaries, deadline tracking, modifications, amendments, and renewals • Develop and maintain grant budgets; review expenditures for allowability, allocability, reasonableness, and consistency with approved budgets • Prepare reimbursement requests and financial reports for SGMS review • Monitor budget-to-actual expenditures, identify variances, reconcile expenditures with accounting records, and assist with budget revisions and reallocations • Assist with subrecipient risk assessments, report reviews, documentation monitoring, checklists, and corrective action plans • Prepare draft financial, compliance, and performance reports and maintain grant databases, dashboards, tracking systems, and audit-ready documentation • Assist with audit preparation, Single Audits, monitoring visits, grant closeouts, financial reconciliations, final reporting, and record retention • Develop templates, SOPs, and training materials; participate in client training and provide technical assistance • Collaborate with SGMS, finance staff, program managers, grant writers, client leadership, and cross-functional teams to complete deliverables

🎯 Requirements

• 3–5 years of direct experience in grants management, sponsored programs, or post-award financial administration within a nonprofit or higher education setting • Experience with state and federal grant programs, including related statutes, regulations, policies, and processes • Understanding of 2 CFR 200 Compliance Standards, Uniform Grants Regulations (UGR), and federal, state, local, private, or other grant-program compliance guidance • Strict adherence to the NGMA Code of Ethics • Experience in grant-writing, grants management, budgets, and contracts • Proficiency with computer programs, software, and online federal government grants management systems • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to explain complex grant requirements clearly and concisely • Strong organizational and project management skills; ability to handle multiple grants and deadlines simultaneously • Ability to recognize and proactively solve grant-management and compliance issues • Experience collaborating with remote teams across multiple time zones • Knowledge of online federal government grants management systems • Ability to become quickly proficient in Asana or other project management software and grant database management programs • Experience with Microsoft 365 applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint • Experience with virtual meeting platforms such as Teams and Zoom • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Public Administration, Non-Profit Management, or related field, or equivalent experience • Certified Grants Management Specialist (CGMS) or Certified Research Administrator (CRA) is a plus
