• Examine and appropriately interpret insureds’ policies, forms in force, and other records to determine coverage and company liability • Maintain active communication with customers throughout the claims process • Draft, approve, and adjust estimates of damage and loss amounts • Investigate claims using recorded statements, police consultations, property damage inspections, and documentation review • Partner with field appraisers to manage home estimates and repairs • Estimate repair, replacement, or compensation costs • Write clear, concise diary notes; set field assignments; save contacts; and issue payments • Apply knowledge of multiple state statutes, insurance codes of ethics, rules, regulations, and guidelines • Independently manage a full caseload of property claims from first notice of loss through resolution • Meet or exceed timeliness, quality, customer satisfaction, and compliance expectations • Maintain well-documented files and make sound coverage decisions
• 2+ years of first-party residential property claims adjusting working directly for an insurance carrier • An active, valid Adjusters License in your current state of residence • Knowledge and experience in California claim handling • Strong understanding of Florida insurance laws and good faith claims handling • Capability to work through daily and catastrophe claims in high-risk states • Experience with vendor management and negotiations • Comfortable utilizing claims systems such as Xactimate, XactAnalysis, Symbility, and EagleView • Ability to work mandatory overtime as needed during catastrophic events • Ability to live and work full-time in one of the listed states • Authorization to work for any employer in the United States • Bilingual capability, especially Spanish, is a plus
