📋 Description

• Own the product vision and roadmap for Kraken's exchange layer, including the matching engine, core infrastructure, third-party custody, algo engine, and API engine • Lead and grow a team of four to five product managers • Set the bar for product craft across the exchange infrastructure layer • Lead consolidation of multiple matching engines into one, beginning with US derivatives, then international derivatives, then spot • Build an interface-agnostic platform for every product team and interface • Define success metrics including p99 latency, throughput, uptime, and resiliency • Hold teams accountable to defined success metrics • Partner with engineering leaders to sequence migration without disrupting live markets • Partner with Risk and Credit Infrastructure so clients can hold one account and trade every product against it • Anticipate industry shifts and shape the platform accordingly • Align product, engineering, risk, and compliance teams around exchange strategy • Stay close to the work and independently own roadmaps and write specifications when needed

🎯 Requirements

• Senior product leader with experience in exchange, trading, or high-performance platforms • Experience managing and developing product managers • Ability to operate as a player-coach, owning roadmaps and writing specifications • Proven ability to set product vision and translate it into a long-term roadmap • Strong understanding of matching engine and market data architecture • Understanding of low-latency tradeoffs • Experience building platforms for internal customers • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders • Passion for crypto markets, market structure, and infrastructure • Nice to have: engineering background with experience building or operating high-performance systems • Nice to have: experience across spot and derivatives venues • Nice to have: experience at a crypto exchange with comparable scale, volume, and uptime expectations • Nice to have: platform roadmaps interlocking with adjacent product organizations • Applicants must select a city and country from the application options • Applicants must indicate whether they need sponsorship to work in their location
