📋 Description

• Plan, direct, coordinate, and execute financial management, accounting, and consulting processes for 15 to 20 startup clients • Prepare and analyze balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and comprehensive financial reports • Review and evaluate the work of other accounting staff • Record, reconcile, analyze, and provide final sign-off on general ledger transactions • Build and maintain client relationships as the primary financial point of contact • Provide due diligence support for audits, fundraising, and M&A activities • Monitor and report on financial metrics, trends, and variances • Provide timely financial information, insights, and recommendations for client decision-making and strategic planning • Perform ad hoc client assignments and create client-specific procedures for accurate monthly financials • Support state and local compliance, sales and use tax reporting, and year-end books for tax preparation • Mentor, review, evaluate, and provide feedback to junior accounting staff • Collaborate with Quality Assurance to develop junior staff • Maintain compliance documentation and assess internal controls and risk areas • Submit, approve, and track maintenance projects • Review and invoice clients for special consulting projects and monitor billable hours • Attend required training and internal meetings

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with a major in Accounting required • 8+ years of corporate accounting experience • Accounting experience in a multi-client environment • Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, and cost control principles • Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, U.S. GAAP, laws, standards, and state/national regulations • Solid experience with QuickBooks Online • Advanced proficiency with MS Excel and Google Sheets • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills • Willingness to work core business hours in the local time zone, approximately 8am to 5pm • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to execute a high volume of nuanced tasks • Ability to work with a strong sense of urgency in a fast-paced setting • Interest in rapidly changing technology/software solutions • Ability to work remotely with discipline, work ethic, healthy boundaries, work strategies, and emotional intelligence • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. through Form I-9/E-Verify
