📋 Description

• Provide technical support for FAA programs and systems including FTI, MS, ADS-B, DCNS, and WMSS • Install, repair, configure, test, and perform preventative maintenance on networking and telecommunications equipment at customer remote locations • Work remotely in scheduled and on-call capacities at customer locations within the assigned area • Travel occasionally to remote sites outside the assigned area to support FAA customer needs • Read, understand, and follow equipment drawings and task orders • Document work performed and customer-site events • Collaborate by phone with the NOCC, SAC, and Helpdesk to resolve field issues • Maintain tools, test equipment, parts/electronics, truck stock inventory, and vehicles • Prepare for assigned tasks before dispatching • Work outside regularly scheduled hours when needed • Lift items up to 32 lbs. and use ladders and step stools to reach approximately 10 feet • Follow L3Harris and program-specific policies and procedures with the supervisor

🎯 Requirements

• Resides within the New Orleans metropolitan area • High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience, or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience • Experience with fiber, Carrier Ethernet, Multiplexes, DACS, routers/switches, network topology, Frame Relay, Fractional T-1, SONET, ATM, private line, voice, and data applications • Experience with RJ-11, RJ-45, DB-25, V.35, RS-449, BNC, and 50-pin Amphenol cable connectors and replacements • Experience with AC and DC power testing • Familiarity with 24VDC and 48VDC power supplies, rectifiers, fuse panels, UPSs, and site grounding • Experience logging into network equipment and testing circuits using varied test equipment and laptops • Knowledge of Bell Core standards and analog, digital DSX1/T1, DSX3/T3, RS232/RS530, Carrier Ethernet RFC, and IP interface testing • Experience using Viavi 5800, JDSU HST3000, DataScout, Ameritech AM5XT, digital oscilloscope, Halcyon 704A, Anritsu Spectrum Analyzer, and other T1/DS3 test sets • Experience performing preventive and corrective maintenance on backup generators • Experience with Microsoft and the MS Office Suite • Ability to read and follow equipment drawings and task orders • Good written and verbal communication and administrative documentation skills • Ability to work independently with little supervision • Ability to work scheduled, on-call, and after-hours assignments • Ability to lift up to 32 lbs. and use ladders/step stools to approximately 10 feet • Must obtain and maintain DOT Public Trust Security Clearance and DOD Secret Clearance • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and/or local US State REAL ID equivalent with a satisfactory driving record • Preferred: experience with Network Operation Control Centers, direct customer communication, Telco central office environments, and high-stress/high-visibility environments
