📋 Description

• Support L3Harris Technologies’ Field Services organization supporting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) • Install, repair, configure, test, and perform preventative maintenance on network equipment, telecommunications equipment, and computers • Maintain records of repairs, downtime, changes, and updates • Perform basic software troubleshooting and diagnostics • Serve as point of contact for unresolved Help Desk or NOC problems • Install hardware and software, including operating systems and office applications • Provide computer hardware, software, and network technical support to end users • Assist with setup and configuration of system hardware and software • Travel to remote sites within the assigned region and outside it as needed

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience OR 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience • Thorough knowledge of installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications-related systems and/or equipment • Proficiency in Microsoft or UNIX operating systems and MS Office Suite • Willing to travel up to 100% of the time to remote sites within a 4-hour drive circle; may travel outside the assigned region • Valid Driver’s License and satisfactory driving record • Ability to obtain a FAA Public Trust • Good working knowledge of cable connectors including RJ-11, RJ-45, DB-25, V.35, and RS-449 • Excellent working knowledge of fiber • Working knowledge of Multiplexes, network topology, Frame Relay, Fractional T-1, SONET Network Technology, ATM, Private Line, and voice/data applications • Working knowledge of AC/DC power testing, including 3 Phase AC, and 24VDC/48VDC power supplies • Experience with T1, DS3, digital BERT, and analog VG testing within Bell Core Standards • Working knowledge and use of network test equipment including JDSU HST, Ameritech AM5XT, Sage 935, Digital Oscilloscope, Halcyon 704A, and Para-scope or equivalent T1/DS3 test sets • Basic software troubleshooting and diagnostics • Ability to install hardware/software, operating systems, and office applications • Network+, CCNA, CCNP, CCNA Wireless, or A+ preferred • Ability to work from home in an on-call status • Capable of lifting 32 pounds • Capable of using ladders and step stools to reach approximately 10 feet • Willingness/ability to work outside scheduled hours and respond to after-hours emergency calls • Excellent customer service skills • Ability to work in a high-stress, high-visibility environment • Professional appearance
