• Provide field technical support for FAA programs and systems including FTI, MS, ADS-B, DCNS, WMSS, and others • Install, repair, configure, test, and perform preventive maintenance on equipment at customer remote locations • Work remotely in scheduled and on-call capacities at assigned customer locations; occasionally travel outside the assigned area • Read, understand, and follow equipment drawings and task orders • Take notes and document activities at customer locations • Work with the NOCC, SAC, and Helpdesk by phone to resolve field issues • Maintain tools, test equipment, parts/electronics, truck stock inventory, and personal or company vehicle • Prepare for assigned tasks before dispatching • Work outside regularly scheduled hours as needed to meet customer needs • Lift items up to 32 lbs. and use ladders and step stools to reach approximately 10 feet • Coordinate with the supervisor/ASL to follow L3Harris and program-specific policies and procedures
• High School Diploma/equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience; OR 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience • Possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License and a satisfactory driving record • Able to obtain and maintain an FAA security clearance • Network+, CCNA, CCNP, CCNA Wireless, A+ preferred • Ability to work from home in an “on-call” status • Must be willing to travel up to 100% of the time to remote sites within a 3-hour drive circle of base location; travel outside the assigned region may be required • Capable of utilizing ladders and step stools to reach heights of approximately 10 feet • Willingness and/or ability to work outside regularly scheduled hours and respond to after-hours emergency calls • Excellent customer service skills • Ability to work in a high-stress and high-visibility environment • Good working knowledge of cable connectors including RJ-11, RJ-45, DB-25, V.35, and RS-449 • Excellent working knowledge of fiber; working knowledge of multiplexes, network topology, Frame Relay, Fractional T-1, SONET Network Technology, ATM, Private Line, and voice/data applications • Good working knowledge of AC/DC power testing, including 3-phase AC, and 24VDC/48VDC power supplies • Experience with T1, DS3, digital/BERT, and analog VG testing within Bell Core Standards • Working knowledge and usage of JDSU HST, Ameritech AM5XT, Sage 935, digital oscilloscope, Halcyon 704A, Para-scope, or other T1/DS3 test sets • IP-based knowledge with experience configuring routers and switches • Experience installing equipment racks
