📋 Description

• Plan and execute procurement activities for raw materials, goods, and services • Compile and analyze pricing, spend, and supplier performance data to support sourcing strategies and establish price objectives • Solicit supplier quotations, review bids and proposals, and make source selection recommendations or award decisions • Prepare and issue purchase orders, RFPs, and bid packages • Negotiate pricing, terms and conditions, delivery schedules, and other contractual requirements with suppliers • Manage purchase orders from award through completion and follow up on on-time delivery • Resolve supplier issues involving damaged goods, rejected materials, shortages, over-shipments, cancellations, returns, claims, and engineering changes • Maintain accurate procurement records, documentation, and reporting • Partner with program management, engineering, operations, quality, and finance • Provide guidance, coaching, or training to less experienced employees • Ensure compliance with anti-corruption ethics, laws, regulations, and company procurement policies

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience • Graduate Degree and minimum 2 years of prior related experience • In lieu of a degree, minimum 8 years of prior related experience • Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance • Occasional travel may be required up to 10% • Experience supporting procurement activities in a manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated environment • Practical knowledge of project management principles and project-based procurement efforts • Experience preparing RFPs, bid packages, and supplier evaluation documentation • Familiarity with supplier performance metrics, cost analysis, and market analysis • Experience working with cross-functional teams including engineering, quality, operations, and program management • Ability to provide training, mentorship, or day-to-day guidance to other buyers or support staff • Knowledge of contract terms and conditions, supplier risk management, and issue resolution processes • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other business systems used for analysis and reporting • Experience identifying and implementing process improvements within procurement operations • Familiarity with anti-corruption regulations, ethics requirements, and purchasing compliance standards
