• Serve as a Supply Chain/Material Management liaison for business unit programs and new business development initiatives • Represent procurement on Integrated Program Teams and drive cross-functional resolution of material-related issues • Develop supply chain strategies, plans, and processes integrated with overall program management plans • Act as customer interface for supply chain program activities • Assemble and sometimes lead material requirements, budgets, and supply chain deliverables for assigned programs • Develop and deliver monthly material cost forecasts and quarterly Estimate at Completion projections • Lead cross-functional material teams and collaborate with suppliers, supply chain leadership, program management, functional leaders, and customers • Manage time and resources across multiple programs, prioritizing critical-path activities and competing demands • Develop and execute supply chain strategies for development and production proposals • Drive affordability and supplier performance improvement initiatives, including quality enhancement efforts • Escalate and resolve material-related issues, risks, and roadblocks • Support subcontract negotiations with critical single-source or sole-source suppliers • Develop supplier baseline program plans with budget and schedule baselines • Assist with contract negotiations with strategic suppliers • Prepare and deliver presentations to peers, customers, suppliers, and senior management • Serve as the SC/MM representative and customer-facing point of contact for supply chain material program matters • Travel to other facilities and supplier locations nationwide
• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant supply chain experience; or Graduate Degree and minimum 2 years of prior related supply chain experience; or, in lieu of a degree, minimum 8 years of prior related supply chain experience • Knowledge of supply chain management, lean manufacturing, assembly, and ATP processes • Ability to evaluate plans, processes, and results using technical knowledge and experience • Working knowledge of project management methods in the defense acquisition environment, including program planning, integrated master scheduling, budgeting, and earned value management • Ability to implement product design and development stage-gate processes for design, build, and test reviews • Experience leading, mentoring, reviewing, and providing constructive feedback to team members • Ability to coordinate multiple activities simultaneously and adjust plans in real time • Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% to facilities and supplier locations nationwide
