📋 Description

• Handle on-demand video and audio interpreting sessions between Arabic and English speakers • Interpret conversations across healthcare, government, insurance, financial, utilities, travel and hospitality, business, law enforcement, court, and 911 industries • Respond promptly to video and audio sessions in a friendly and professional manner • Participate in online, video, and audio training sessions • Deliver interpretation via video and type data on a dedicated device • Render accurate concepts and meanings according to established interpretation protocols • Speak clearly in both languages using proper pronunciation, enunciation, and polite expressions • Maintain professional demeanor during interpreting sessions • Remain calm during incoherent, upset, sensitive, or emergency calls • Maintain punctuality and availability during scheduled work hours • Follow client instructions and interpretation protocols • Apply terminology and procedures for medical, insurance, finance, law, and other industries • Demonstrate cultural sensitivity in a diverse environment • Handle potentially emotional, stressful, extended, or high-volume calls

🎯 Requirements

• Fluency in Arabic and English and skilled in the associated cultural dynamics • Ability to provide cultural competency and assess regional and accent differences • Excellent listening, retention and note-taking skills • Ability to remain neutral and objective during sensitive conversations • Ability to adapt to LanguageLine Solutions technology enhancements • Must be at least 18 years of age • Legally authorized to work in the United States • Must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require visa sponsorship • High school diploma or equivalent • Ability to read and write the requested languages — highly preferred • Dedicated personal device for business purposes: Windows, MacOS, ChromeOS, iPadOS, Android, iOS, or equivalent supported device • High-speed internet with at least 5 Mbps download, 3 Mbps upload, ping no more than 300 ms, and jitter no more than 30 ms • Access to a quiet space free from background noise or distraction • Ability to operate a keyboard and mouse and remain stationary in front of a computer and webcam for most of the workday • Ability to use a headset for prolonged periods • Ability to operate company-provided software and systems • Sufficient manual dexterity to type or write • Able to lift up to 26 lbs • Background check and/or drug screen may be required based on location • Education or work experience in language-related fields such as teaching, language assessment, translation or interpretation preferred
