📋 Description

• Handle on-demand video and audio interpreting sessions between French and English speakers • Interpret verbally across healthcare, government, insurance, financial, utilities, travel and hospitality, business, law enforcement, court, and 911 industries • Respond promptly and conduct interpretation in a friendly, professional manner • Participate in online, video, and audio training sessions • Deliver interpretation via video and type data on a dedicated device • Render accurate concepts and meanings according to interpretation protocol without omissions or additions • Speak clearly in both languages with proper pronunciation and polite expressions • Maintain professional demeanor throughout sessions • Remain calm during emotional, sensitive, or emergency calls • Maintain punctuality and availability during scheduled work hours • Follow client instructions and protocol • Understand industry-specific protocols and terminology • Demonstrate cultural sensitivity in a diverse environment

🎯 Requirements

• Fluency in French and English and skilled in the associated cultural dynamics • Ability to provide cultural competency and assess regional and accent differences • Excellent listening, retention and note-taking skills • Ability to remain neutral and objective during sensitive conversations • Ability to adapt to LLS technology enhancements • Must be at least 18 years of age • Legally authorized to work in the United States • US work authorization must not now or in the future require visa sponsorship • High school diploma or equivalent • Ability to read and write the requested languages — highly preferred • Dedicated personal device for business purposes • Desktop/laptop with Windows, MacOS, or ChromeOS, or acceptable tablet/smartphone • No Kaspersky products or Huawei hardware • High-speed internet: at least 5 Mbps download, 3 Mbps upload, ping no more than 300 ms, jitter no more than 30 ms • Access to a quiet space free from background noise or distraction • Ability to operate a keyboard and mouse and remain stationary before a computer and webcam most of the workday • Ability to use a headset for prolonged periods • Ability to operate company-provided software and systems • Sufficient manual dexterity to type or write • Ability to lift up to 26 lbs • Post-offer pre-employment background check and/or drug screen may be required based on location
