📋 Description

• Review daily revenue cycle operations across assigned business lines • Coordinate with the third-party billing team on account review, reconciliation, and cleanup • Communicate with patients regarding outstanding charges and insurance coverage denials • Support escalated collection efforts and ensure patient account accuracy • Prepare delinquent accounts for collection and act as a liaison in the collection process • Follow up on payment discrepancies, underpayments, and payer, location, and business-line variances • Prioritize issues and collaborate with departmental leaders on corrective actions • Prepare clinical revenue reports for payroll, including co-pays and supervisory billing • Formulate and administer clinical practice credit and collection policies, including write-offs • Support medical record request reviews and partner with providers and clinical leadership to ensure proper documentation • Collaborate with clinical operations, Finance, credentialing, intake, scheduling, compliance, providers, and leadership to resolve billing and reimbursement barriers • Train and support billing and collections staff • Establish and maintain departmental policies and procedures in compliance with clinical practice policies, regulatory standards, and Joint Commission requirements • Recommend process improvements to reduce preventable denials, accelerate collections, strengthen controls, and improve reimbursement outcomes • Support implementation and optimization of practice management, EHR, reporting, and financial systems, including AdvancedMD, Netsmart, Salesforce, and Intacct • Handle other ad-hoc projects as needed

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field • At least five years of experience in behavioral health and revenue cycle management • Experience with insurance reimbursement, denial management, account collections, coding, and medical terminology • PHP, IOP, and Outpatient Therapy experience • Knowledge of Electronic Health Record Applications and Reporting • Familiarity with Netsmart and/or Advanced MD • Familiarity with payer portals • Excellent verbal and written communication • Analytical and organizational skills • Proficiency in math • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills • Accurate typing and data entry capability • Respect for confidentiality and promotion of positive public relations • Ability to motivate staff and maintain high morale
