📋 Description

• Support the Energy Management and Compliance (EMC) Program for the Air Traffic Organization, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) • Work with the Headquarters Program Manager and Service Area Implementation Managers to compile requirements and funding information • Initiate and track projects and obtain facility information • Baseline energy and water usage and review and evaluate information for submission to the Department of Energy (DOE) Compliance Tracking System (CTS) • Benchmark, monitor, and analyze water and energy usage of FAA facilities • Develop recommendations for projects that reduce energy and water usage and costs • Support compliance measures and projects stemming from federal energy mandates, including EISA and the Energy Act of 2020 • Review utility billing histories and baseline facility energy consumption • Work with facilities on Level 2 audits, including inspection of HVAC and lighting systems • Conduct EISA energy and water evaluations of FAA facilities • Review building design drawings and evaluate energy, water, and cost savings for efficiency projects • Evaluate building designs against EISA High-Performance Sustainable Building (HPSB) Checklists • Communicate and coordinate with stakeholders • Compile technical reports using MS Office applications

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with at least 4+ years OR Master's degree with 2+ years of related work experience • Ability to obtain and maintain public trust suitability • Background in energy policy, energy efficiency, water conservation, energy and water consumption data analysis, and report writing • Experience reviewing utility billing histories and baselining facility energy consumption • Experience with emergency power systems, including UPS and PDUs • Level 2 audit experience inspecting HVAC and lighting systems • Experience conducting EISA energy and water evaluations of FAA facilities • Experience reviewing building design drawings and evaluating energy, water, and cost savings for efficiency projects • Experience evaluating building designs using EISA HPSB Checklists • Written and verbal communication and stakeholder coordination skills • Ability to work with minimal direction and supervision • Technical writing experience for compiling reports • Proficiency with MS Office applications for analysis, documentation, and presentations • LEED Certification or another energy-related certification preferred • Knowledge of the Federal Energy Management Program (FEMP) desired • Experience working with or supporting a federal agency's Energy Program desired • FAA experience is a plus
