• Report to Logistics Platform Manager for vessel operations across programs • Manage the Company Security Officer and Assistant DPA • Serve as the company’s Designated Person Ashore (DPA) and primary communication link between vessel personnel and executive management • Lead development, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Safety Management System (SMS) and marine compliance programs • Serve on the SMS Steering Committee and within the Incident Command System (ICS) organization • Lead or coordinate incident investigations, root-cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and closure verification • Establish responsibilities, performance expectations, and priorities for marine compliance personnel • Maintain readiness for audits, inspections, surveys, certifications, and emergencies • Lead internal marine audits and coordinate external audits for compliance documents and vessel certifications • Manage regulatory and classification-society interfaces, including the U.S. Coast Guard and ABS • Oversee compliance with ISM, SOLAS, MARPOL, ISPS, Subchapter M, and other requirements • Oversee emergency-response plans, compliance procedures, marine policies, and documentation • Track and close deficiencies, nonconformities, audit findings, and regulatory issues • Provide regulatory guidance to vessel, operations, engineering, and shore-side personnel • Translate evolving regulations and customer requirements into practical procedures • Develop and deliver marine compliance, SMS, emergency-response, and regulatory training • Monitor compliance performance, risks, trends, and continuous-improvement opportunities • Advise senior management on marine safety, security, environmental, regulatory, and operational risks • Coordinate marine compliance across operations, engineering, security, and other departments • Promote a strong safety and compliance culture across vessel and shore-side operations • Maintain readiness for emergency response, inspections, certification, operational changes, and emerging requirements
• Ability to perform in an arduous duty environment • USCG Master License • 10 Years Experience leading Safety Management Systems • Certification from Classification Society as an Auditor • PMP Certification • Ability to lift 40lbs • Must be able to communicate effectively • Must be a US Citizen • Ability to obtain and maintain required security, facility, and vessel access credentials • Master’s Degree preferred • USCG Company Security Officer Endorsement preferred
