📋 Description

• Function as a Civil/Structural Consulting Engineer responsible for independent engineering design reviews; this is not a design position • Review civil and structural designs of new and existing power generation projects, including wind, solar, hydro, battery energy storage systems, and thermal projects • Support Project Managers during transactional due diligence reviews • Review applicable design codes, EPC Contract specifications, and manufacturer drawings and calculations prepared by others • Provide subject matter expertise in civil and structural design and review of specifications, drawings, and calculations • Assist with monitoring and managing projects • Develop sales proposals • Complete technology and bankability reviews as needed • Provide Owner's Engineering and Advisory support • Meet client deadlines across multiple projects and manage multiple project review schedules • Travel for project site visits in support of reviews

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's of Science degree in Civil or Structural engineering • Eight plus years of experience working on industrial, power delivery, or power generation project designs or other relevant experience • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external parties • Experience reviewing finite element analysis models, calculations, design drawing packages, design bases, and methodologies • Competency with civil, structural, and geotechnical design codes, including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI 318, AISC, and AISI • Familiarity with structural analysis software including STAAD or RISA 3D • Ability to meet client deadlines across multiple projects under pressure • Ability to manage schedule commitments for multiple project reviews • Willingness to travel for project site visits, including potential international travel • Proficient in Microsoft 365 and Adobe/Bluebeam • Master's degree in civil/structural engineering is favorable • FE/EIT certification and aspiration to obtain professional engineer licensure are favorable • Professional Engineer's (PE) license is favorable • Licensed Structural Engineer (SE) is favorable • Spanish language speaking and reading skills are favorable • Familiarity with large construction projects and electrical transmission and distribution is favorable • Experience designing power generation projects is a strong differentiator • Familiarity with construction specifications, submittals, and construction documentation is favorable
