📋 Description

• Lead high-functioning engineering teams on large-scale utility transmission, substation, and other complex EPC or progressive-model projects • Lead project managers delivering comprehensive engineering design projects for electric utility clients • Own overall portfolio performance, including cost, schedule, and scope management • Drive PMO strategic initiatives focused on process improvements and operational efficiencies • Serve as Capture Manager for large-scale new business opportunities and prepare major proposals, estimates, and bid documents • Mentor and develop project management staff • Interface with clients and internal stakeholders to address issues, report progress, and mitigate risks • Manage monthly client invoicing, accruals, and accounts receivable processes • Identify and pursue business development opportunities • Ensure compliance with contract requirements and quality control standards • Communicate regularly with clients, project teams, subcontractors, and support personnel • Identify project risks and mitigation strategies • Travel locally and nationally as needed (roughly 20–25%)

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive Project Management experience in the electric power/electric utility industry • Experience with and comprehensive understanding of electric power and electric utility infrastructure projects • Knowledge of high voltage substation and transmission engineering highly preferred • Experience working with EPC (engineering, procurement, construction) Contracts highly preferred • Direct experience working with project financials, bid proposals and cost estimates • Direct experience with portfolio management, contract management and risk mitigation • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Workfront, MS Project, P6) and MS Office Suite • Strong leadership skills with a focus on portfolio management and team development • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to travel periodically as required (~20%) • Candidates must be located in the United States • US Citizenship required • PMP Certification or willingness to obtain within two years • Previous experience working in a consulting environment for US based electric utilities • Prior experience in a leadership position • Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams • Previous experience working in a consulting environment • Experience with PowerBI and/or visualization tools
