📋 Description

• Answer incoming service calls and resolve emergency calls, technical questions, and operational problems • Supervise and assist technicians with job preparation and on-the-job questions • Manage shop diagnoses, adjustments, repairs, and overhauls of mobile equipment including crawler cranes and drilling rigs • Teach US technicians proper repair and maintenance procedures • Repair and replace damaged or worn parts • Operate, inspect, dismantle, reassemble, clean, lubricate, maintain, overhaul, and test heavy equipment • Diagnose defects and malfunctions using handheld computers, motor analyzers, chassis charts, pressure gauges, micrometers, and gauges • Read and interpret operating manuals, parts manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings • Inspect parts, dimensions, clearances, and equipment for compliance with factory specifications • Complete assigned paperwork and supervise service and warranty orders • Maintain quality standards and enforce safety procedures • Supervise, train, and lead service personnel and technical advisors, including hiring, evaluation, and discipline • Coordinate technician and technical advisor training • Provide after-hours support through the 24-hour service hotline and participate in the on-call rotation • Support field technicians and service administrators with travel arrangements and jobsite information • Assist the Head of Customer Service and spare parts department • Supervise service information, machine commissioning, and customer handover • Coordinate with LWN on unresolved issues and requests • Build and train the LR/HS service technician team • Supervise rental equipment and coordinate with the Rental Equipment Manager to maintain sellable condition • Direct, coordinate, and evaluate the Crawler Cranes team

🎯 Requirements

• Associates or Technical degree in a related field and at least 5 years of experience with heavy equipment; or combination of education and experience • Demonstrated previous supervisory experience is preferred • Travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver license and passport • Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and on-call duty for the 24-hour service hotline • Legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
