📋 Description

• Assess, develop, and evaluate manufacturing and quality capabilities of Liebherr’s supply base. • Maintain smooth operations of materials suppliers. • Apply quality methods, statistical analysis, requirements understanding, problem solving, and supplier process and capability development. • Perform supplier systems and process audits. • Conduct value engineering activities and cost-down projects. • Implement new supplier quality strategies. • Act as liaison between suppliers and Liebherr for quality, production, and process capability concerns. • Identify, investigate, analyze, and correct purchased-product quality, production, and control problems. • Apply and promote quality tools and techniques. • Conduct cross-functional audits, generate reports, and follow up on corrective actions. • Analyze data and develop reports and quality metrics. • Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions. • Develop quality and technical documentation. • Support production operations on quality-related issues. • Drive quality and process improvements and monitor supplier performance and scorecards. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions. • Manage projects and resources with minimal supervision at Level 3. • Communicate and manage projects with suppliers, Purchasing, and Engineering at Level 4. • Oversee assignments of Levels 1, 2, and 3 SQEs and provide personnel-performance feedback at Level 4. • Plan and assign personnel for projects and tasks at Level 4.

🎯 Requirements

• Level 3: Bachelor’s degree from four-year college, engineering related discipline preferred, with two to four years related experience, or equivalent combination of education or experience in a manufacturing, engineering or quality field. • Level 4 (Senior): Bachelor’s degree from four-year college, engineering related discipline preferred, with four to six years of applicable experience in, or equivalent combination of education and experience in a manufacturing, engineering or quality field. • Expected to travel nationally and internationally up to 25% to customer or supplier sites. • Ability to complete and maintain mine certifications or safety training such as Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) hazard training. • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license and passport. • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship. • Comprehensive knowledge of statistical analysis and APQP methodology for Level 4 responsibilities. • Knowledge of engineering, quality, project management principles, practices, and procedures in supply chain management for Level 4 responsibilities.
