📋 Description

• Analyze and reconcile complex investment accounting transactions for completeness, accuracy, and compliance • Prepare and review NAIC statutory schedules and regulatory filings, including RTS, SCA Sub 2, Bank Loan Filings, and Privately Rated Security Filings • Review internally rated securities • Complete quality assurance checks and audits on investment accounting transactions • Manage and monitor third-party vendor and managed service provider relationships • Develop advanced control processes supporting internal controls, SOX compliance, and accounting policies • Identify investment accounting trends, issues, and concerns and recommend mitigation plans • Collaborate with enterprise stakeholders to complete investment accounting processes accurately and timely • Monitor developments and incorporate new practices into solutions • Prepare technical financial documents, presentations, and communications • Prepare earnings memos and general account team metric analyses • Prepare financial footnote information for SEC, GAAP, and statutory reporting • Provide accounting information on fixed income investments for regulatory compliance • Apply investment accounting treatment to General Account Invested Assets under Statutory, GAAP, Management, and Tax bases • Conduct technical research on general account investments • Resolve discrepancies and inquiries from portfolio management and asset managers • Support industry and governmental surveys

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in investment accounting directly aligned to the role’s responsibilities • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience • Experience with NAIC statutory reporting and familiarity with regulatory requirements • Effective verbal and written communication skills • Analytical skills and close attention to detail • Ability to adapt quickly in a changing work environment • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel functions and visualization tools
