📋 Description

• Review claims approved for the change in definition; no pended claims • Communicate with claimants, employers and various medical professionals by phone and e-mail to gather information regarding Long Term Disability Claims and state and federal benefits when applicable • Collaborate with case managers, nurse case managers, vocational case managers and consulting physicians to make appropriate, ethical and timely claim determinations • Review complex medical records and leverage tools and resources to understand approval durations and plan future actions throughout the life of the claim • Provide exceptional customer service and proactively recognize customer needs and areas of opportunity • Complete a thorough training program to develop new skills

🎯 Requirements

• High School diploma or GED • 3-5 years of long term disability claims experience directly aligned to the specific responsibilities for this role • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Excellent organization skills with the ability to multi-task • Ability to thrive in a constantly changing environment and adapt with confidence and awareness • Experience with disability and/or absence management (nice-to-have)
