📋 Description

• Conduct legal research and monitor changes in U.S. laws and policies • Analyze legal updates and communicate applicability firmwide • Provide legal support for complex cases, including escalation reviews, risk management, and policy interpretation • Support the Legal Leadership Team in developing and implementing firmwide legal strategy and compliance initiatives • Draft, review, and update legal documents and internal firm policy documents • Draft, review, and conduct training sessions for internal teams • Serve as a subject-matter expert in immigration law to ensure legal consistency, compliance, and quality control • Audit court filings and guide complex legal escalations • Partner with Operations to improve processes and strengthen legal consistency • Perform additional duties as determined by the Director Attorney

🎯 Requirements

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and current bar membership in good standing • 5+ years of experience as an immigration attorney • 3+ years of removal defense experience • Experience preparing for and representing clients in Master Calendar and Individual Calendar Hearings • Preferred experience with humanitarian and family-based immigration and consular processing, including VAWA, T visas, U visas, family-based petitions, nonimmigrant and immigrant visas, naturalization, waivers, RFE/NOID/NOIR responses, appeals, and motions before USCIS and immigration court • Strong command of U.S. immigration law and related federal regulations • Excellent analytical, legal writing, and research skills • Exceptional organizational and project management skills • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams • Sound judgment and ethical decision-making in client and firm matters • Demonstrated commitment to client advocacy, firm integrity, and continuous improvement • Bilingual candidates preferred; Spanish fluency strongly preferred; additional language skills a plus
