📋 Description

• Serve as Impulse Space’s in-house expert on U.S. government and defense contracting • Provide strategic legal counsel across the full lifecycle of government programs • Advise executives and cross-functional teams on government contracts and subcontracts • Interpret and apply FAR, DFARS, and related regulations • Negotiate complex agreements • Manage compliance obligations • Support contract performance, modifications, and disputes • Develop scalable processes and training • Collaborate with internal stakeholders • Manage outside counsel for specialized matters

🎯 Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school • Active U.S. bar membership • At least 10 years of government contracts law experience • 5+ years of experience in aerospace or defense • Deep knowledge of government contracting principles • Strong business judgment • Ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership • Experience supporting defense or national security programs in the space sector is highly valued • Ability to operate in compliance with U.S. export regulations
