âą Provide clinical leadership and supervision to Staff Counselors supporting the USPS Employee Assistance Program âą Serve as the primary clinical resource for complex, high-risk, and urgent cases âą Provide 24/7 consultation, crisis support, and oversight âą Oversee clinical, consultative, referral, and critical incident services âą Coordinate communication among Staff Counselors, Provider Counselors, USPS stakeholders, and EAP partners âą Conduct case reviews, documentation monitoring, and follow-up oversight âą Provide targeted supervision for new and developing counselors, including staff on performance improvement plans âą Evaluate critical incident responses and drive continuous process improvements âą Train and support counselors on benefits, referral resources, client accommodations, and diverse and special populations âą Collaborate with providers and stakeholders to ensure compliant, high-quality service delivery âą Document supervision, quality assurance, and staff development activities âą Travel up to 25% to support customer, stakeholder, and employee needs
âą Two years of direct clinical supervisory experience or at least three years of supervised EAP experience âą Experience working in a complex labor-management environment âą Knowledge of labor relations, union operations, and grievance procedures âą Must be licensed or certified in the state where physically located when performing clinical duties for clients in other states âą Knowledge of state laws governing mental health issues and clinical practice âą Demonstrated capability to complete accurate bio-physical assessments, including substance abuse assessments âą Specialized experience and/or training in phone counseling âą Knowledge of federal and state laws governing privacy, confidentiality, duty to warn, and child and elder abuse reporting âą Active driver's license and ability to be insured âą Availability to support staff in Mountain, Pacific, and Alaska/Hawaii time zones âą Ability to pass required background checks and a 10-Panel Drug Screen âą Ability to undergo a Public Trust background investigation and receive favorable adjudication âą U.S. citizenship for at least 5 years âą Master's and/or doctorate degree from an accredited college or university in a clinical mental health field âą Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience after receiving a graduate degree âą Current state license or state certification to practice as a mental health practitioner, or appropriate recognized national certification where state licensure/certification is unavailable âą Authority to practice independently without state-mandated clinical supervision âą Ability to work from home with a quiet workspace and minimal background noise âą High-speed internet installed before starting: minimum 20 Mbps download, 5 Mbps upload, and maximum 100 milliseconds latency âą Ability to operate a motor vehicle safely and comply with traffic laws for business purposes
