📋 Description

• Answer and/or forward incoming phone calls from patients and insurance representatives in a timely manner • Provide quality customer service phone support • Provide accurate information regarding patient and insurance account status • Resolve account questions and disputes • Process payments • Follow up on accounts in a timely manner • Work online payer systems to check claim status and eligibility • Work correspondence and returned mail to process patient and insurance requests • Manage Customer Service ticklers and escalated accounts • Maintain productivity goals and meet deadlines set by the AR Supervisor • Handle escalated calls professionally • Complete other AR projects and assigned duties

🎯 Requirements

• Telephone customer service experience • Familiarity with multiple phone lines and ability to manage high call volumes • Computer literacy and ability to work between multiple computer systems • Excellent verbal and written customer service skills • Strong attention to detail • Ability to multitask • Good judgment and decision-making skills • Ability to work independently and in a team • High school diploma or equivalent education/experience • Call center experience preferred or desired • Prior medical billing and/or medical terminology experience preferred or desired • Basic understanding of how insurance processes medical claims preferred or desired • Ability to sit approximately 90 percent of the day • Ability to operate standard office equipment, multi-line telephone, computer, fax, copiers, and printers
