📋 Description

• Coordinate all patient scheduling activities for appointments, procedures, and exams across multiple hospitals, physician practices, outpatient departments, modalities, and facilities • Facilitate communication between staff, referral sources, and physician offices regarding scheduling concerns and issues • Collect clinical information, obtain insurance, and verify patient demographics for screening and diagnostic test scheduling • Schedule patients for physician appointments and diagnostic test procedures • Educate patients, families, and physician offices about department protocols, procedures, insurance, referrals, and testing criteria • Monitor practice protocols and department procedures and recommend improvements • Use scheduling software and patient-specific software applications to facilitate patient access • Serve as a resource for staff, physicians, and referring offices • Reduce errors, rework, and defects through conscientious attention to detail

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED • 6 months medical office, call center or customer service oriented work experience, or completion of an Associate's Degree program or higher in lieu of work experience • Ability to maintain strict level of confidentiality • Ability to work in a fast paced environment while handling multiple responsibilities • Detail-oriented with the ability to enter information accurately into electronic systems • Ability to handle stressful situations • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications • Ability to lift and carry 25 lbs. • Frequent sitting/standing and keyboard use • Patient care providers may be required to perform role-specific activities including kneeling, bending, squatting and CPR
