📋 Description

• Process, review, and qualify hydrographic and topographic survey data in a GIS environment • Produce and quality assure deconflicted bathymetric products • Maintain the bathymetry model as new sources and workflows become available • Standardize, optimize, and improve documentation supporting the NBS program • Create, automate, and optimize workflows involving hydrography, physics, and geodesy • Support NOAA's Office of Coast Survey National Bathymetric Source Team • Work with NBS Operations and Development teams on infrastructure and workflow design, development, and improvement

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in hydrography, ocean mapping, physical science, marine science, oceanography, physics, related discipline, or equivalent (education equivalency: 4 years of work experience) • 3-5 years of knowledge and experience in data analysis and GIS and data management techniques • Experience with application software including Python, PostgreSQL, QGIS, ArcGIS, and/or CARIS • Programming experience in Python • Experience analyzing, planning, acquiring, integrating, and disseminating ocean and coastal geospatial data and derivative products • Experience developing mapping standards and techniques • Experience improving data management and access • Must be eligible to work in the United States; Lynker is an E-Verify employer
