📋 Description

• Build and maintain relationships with literary agents • Read and evaluate manuscripts • Negotiate major terms for potential acquisitions • Develop a successful and profitable list of titles • Assist Senior Editor with editorial feedback • Write copy for sales and marketing teams • Present titles at internal meetings • Solicit advance quotes from other authors and booksellers

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in editorial, including some acquisition experience • Strong communication skills • Ability to work with other publishing departments • Strong writing skills for internal- and external-facing materials • Effective presentation skills • Independent time management and organizational acumen • Bachelor’s degree in any area OR equivalent work experience in a relevant field
