📋 Description

• Provide personal financial counseling and management services to military service members and their families at assigned military installations • Provide one-on-one counseling and consultations with commanders, providers, or staff • Conduct briefings, presentations, classes, seminars, and Personal Financial Management workshops • Assist service members in establishing spending plans for extended absences • Develop and distribute informational financial materials • Coordinate and publicize financial management classes across the military lifecycle, including arrival at first duty station and pre- and post-deployment • Respond to requests for age-appropriate classes or seminars • Use virtual counseling, secure online chat, web-based tools, video communications, and secure video teleconferencing when authorized • Manage duty-to-warn situations according to Department of Defense protocol • Communicate with leadership and participate in individual and group supervision • Share information regarding installation trends and issues • Participate in in-services, training, quality improvement committees, and other assigned contract activities • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required • Associate degree plus 4 years' experience may be considered in lieu of bachelor's degree • High school diploma plus 6 years' experience may be considered in lieu of bachelor's degree • 3+ years of financial counseling experience • Must be a U.S. citizen • Fluent English required • Bilingual English and Spanish required if required by the contract • Able to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation • Must pass the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) process • One of the following certifications required: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) • Valid in-state driver's license listed as required • Ability to effectively use virtual counseling and electronic communication modes
