📋 Description

• Receive training in personal financial counseling services and duties while working toward required PFC certification • Provide education, information, and assistance to members, providers, and internal and external customers • Learn to provide personal financial counseling and management services for service members and their families • Learn to assist service members in establishing spending plans for extended absences • Learn to coordinate, publicize, and provide Personal Financial Management classes and workshops across the military lifecycle • Learn to use virtual counseling and electronic communication methods, including web-based tools, secure online chat, video communications, and secure video teleconferencing • Learn to manage duty-to-warn situations according to Department of Defense protocol • Communicate with leadership and participate in individual and group supervision • Participate in in-services, training classes, quality improvement committees, and other assigned contract activities • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Over 1,000 hours of financial counseling experience, achieved prior to application • Bachelor's degree required; associate degree plus 4 years' experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree; high school diploma plus 6 years' experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree • Must be a U.S. citizen • Fluent English • Ability to speak and provide presentations to small or large groups • Bilingual English and Spanish if required by the contract • Ability to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation status • Must be working toward successfully passing and receiving an approved Financial Certification (AFC, CFP, or ChFC) within 3 months of employment • Must possess a valid in-state driver's license • Ethical conduct and confidentiality • Model employee attributes relating to attitude, customer service, company culture, and work ethic
