📋 Description

• Provide personal financial counseling and management services to military service members and their families • Assist service members in establishing spending plans for extended absences • Develop and provide informational financial materials • Coordinate, publicize, and deliver Personal Financial Management classes and workshops across the military lifecycle • Respond to requests for age-appropriate classes or seminars • Provide virtual counseling through web-based, secure online chat, video communication, or secure video teleconference when authorized • Manage duty-to-warn situations according to Department of Defense protocol • Communicate with leadership and participate in individual and group supervision • Share trends and issues affecting assigned military installations • Participate in in-service training, quality improvement committees, and other contract activities • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; an associate degree plus 4 years' experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree • A high school diploma plus 6 years' experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree • 3+ years of financial counseling experience • Must be a U.S. citizen • Must speak fluent English • Must be bilingual in English and Spanish if required by the contract • Able to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation • Must pass the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) process • Must hold one of: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) • Valid in-state driver's license listed among required certifications • Able to effectively utilize virtual counseling and electronic communication modes
