📋 Description

• Champion and build the Cyber GRC function from vision through execution • Create and optimize cybersecurity policies and implement control frameworks including NIST CSF 2.0, CIS Controls v8, and ISO 27001 • Conduct compliance monitoring and maintain audit readiness for SEC, FINRA, NYDFS, and other state regulations • Lead the third-party vendor risk management program across the vendor lifecycle • Conduct vendor security assessments and establish rigorous contract requirements • Partner with procurement and AI review teams on integrated risk management • Design, mature, and execute security awareness and training programs • Develop role-based curricula, phishing simulations, and culture-building initiatives • Spearhead AI governance within cybersecurity, including acceptable-use policies, use-case risk tiering, and oversight of third-party AI tools • Establish cyber risk management capabilities with quantified reporting and dashboards • Provide CISO-level and board-level reporting on cyber posture and risk • Advise Security Architecture & Engineering, Monitoring & Response, Legal, and IT governance teams • Integrate GRC into strategic planning, M&A due diligence, product launches, and change management • Represent Mariner in engagements with regulators, auditors, and third-party assessors • Manage regulatory examinations and responses in partnership with the CISO

🎯 Requirements

• 10–12 years’ progressive experience in cybersecurity and risk management • Proven leadership of GRC, compliance, or vendor risk teams • Demonstrated success building and evolving security governance programs • Financial services background strongly preferred • Expertise in highly regulated sectors and examination processes, including banking, insurance, or capital markets • Ability to address wealth management-specific requirements involving SEC, FINRA, and NYDFS • Hands-on experience transforming technology risk, security assurance, or compliance programs • Experience integrating risk management into business operations • Data-driven approach to cybersecurity metrics, risk quantification, and executive-level reporting • Ability to translate technical risk into actionable business insights • Strong cross-functional leadership, communication, and influence skills • Ability to partner across security, IT, legal, finance, and business teams • Preferred certifications: CISM, CRISC, CISA, CGEIT, CISSP, or equivalent • Legally authorized to work in the United States
