📋 Description

• Train automotive brake pad customers • Assist the customer’s commercial sales team with in-the-field support and understanding of braking systems and components • Develop and maintain relationships with the customer’s commercial sales team to retain and grow existing business and pursue lost and potential accounts • Schedule travel into individual markets • Perform installer customer visits with accounts and sales managers to promote and educate on key features and benefits • Present technical and non-technical information on brake systems, components, and installations to individuals and small groups • Conduct technical and non-technical training sessions at regional shows, new store openings, national sales meetings, strategic account events, and trade shows • Resolve customer issues related to brake systems, manufacturers, and the industry • Review industry updates and escalate concerns to internal contacts • Visit customer store locations to gather field feedback, market changes, and trends • Travel extensively, up to 75%, throughout the eastern half of the United States and other U.S. locations as needed • Travel to all major markets in the region at least twice annually • Plan region-specific travel with the customer’s commercial sales team • Coordinate customer visits, training sessions, and content initiatives • Understand customer commercial sales promotions and programs for regional markets • Maintain customer visit call reports • Participate in weekly and monthly team conference calls • Attend yearly internal company training with corporate, R&D, and manufacturing sites • Support urgent and impromptu projects requiring out-of-region travel

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years on-the-job experience (service departments, dealerships, vehicle maintenance, etc.) or equivalent combination of education and experience • Knowledge of OE and aftermarket brake systems and components • Familiarity with vehicle maintenance and diagnostics • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to present different types of material • Conflict resolution skills at individual and group level • Negotiation and timely, confident decision-making skills • Ability to assist with non-routine tasks or tasks outside the home region • Proactive follow-up, organization, results orientation, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment • Ability to interface with clients and maintain a professional image • Commitment to customer satisfaction and quality of work • Instructional training experience preferred • Automotive technical experience in brake systems/repair • State or ASE/Master Certifications a plus • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications • Extensive travel availability, up to 75% across the United States
