📋 Description

• Design electrical systems and perform design calculations • Review, sign, and seal projects • Review submittals, RFIs, and change orders • Prepare record drawings • Conduct site visits and inspections • Participate in commissioning work • Write and edit electrical equipment specifications • Select equipment, electrical systems, and devices • Ensure jobs are completed accurately, within deadlines, and on budget • Collaborate with MEI staff, clients, vendors, and external disciplines • Travel to job sites for site observations and client meetings as required

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years of Electrical Engineering design experience in the construction industry • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering • Experience designing power systems for data centers, commercial offices, manufacturing facilities, medical buildings, or other large commercial projects • Experience working independently, managing priorities and providing mentorship to junior staff • Strong understanding of National and International Building Codes and NFPA Standards • Advanced knowledge of equipment power requirements, including large scale standby and emergency power systems and interactive generator control systems • Proficiency with MS Office, AutoCAD, BlueBeam, BIM and Revit • Ability to think strategically and demonstrate flexibility in order to achieve long-range objectives • Self-motivated, comfortable with ambiguity and motivated to work as a team • Strong organization, attention to detail, and excellent written and oral communication skills • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States • Employment may be contingent upon successful completion of background checks, drug testing, and other pre-employment requirements • Electrical P.E. license or Engineering in Training certification preferred • Experience producing Protective Device Coordination and Arc Flash studies preferred • Experience with Medium Voltage equipment selection and specifications preferred
